We're going to start off every day with some runners' advice, followed by the workout.

Welcome to day 24! The thought for today is something I’m sure you’ve noticed. Running is very very simple, but it’s not easy. There’s a key distinction there. Every race, every run, is simple. You’re just running from point A to point B. Racing is equally simple. You’re just trying to get there faster than anybody else, or faster than you’ve ever done it before. So, again, don’t over complicate things. Running should be simple, but it should only be easy on recovery days.

Today’s warm-up I’m going to leave up to you in terms of content, but I want you to make sure you’re doing a conscientious job. We’ve given you a number of exercises to do, both active, and semi-static, so make sure to combine what you can into a good warm-up. Today’s workout is going to require some bending over and picking things up!

Yesterday we talked about fartlek being the Swedish term for speed-play. Today, we’re still in Sweden! We’re going to do something called “plogging”. Take a bag with you on your run today, and wear gloves, and as you run by trash, stop to pick it up! Try to run for roughly 20 minutes, similar to your “B” runs. When you get back, throw it out or put it in recycling! Today is your gift to your neighborhood and planet. Have fun and see you on day 25!
